One morning in Markóc I went out to the nearest sunflower fields, just a few minutes by bike, in order to take pictures while the light was good.
If you’ve ever walked through a field of sunflowers, you know it’s not as pleasant as it sounds. For one thing, sunflowers attrack a lot of bees and flies. And while sunflowers are tall, they’re not tall enough to offer shade, and one ends up feeling as baked as the cracked earth below.
Taking pictures of sunflowers must be a complicated skill, because it took me a while to get some decent pictures.
Also. I received a sunflower bouquet for my birthday. Birthday wonderfulness soon to come.
