Summer Visual Retrospective 4

The Visegrad Castle.  Every year there is a medieval festival in Visegrad, and the Sunday before our English camp in Váchartyán began, our Hungarian hosts took us to the festival to shop the booths, eat the food, and …

… watch the jousting tournament.

I already posted a similar picture, but once again, here is my class of 12-year-olds from the English camp in Váchartyán.  Clockwise from left: Anna, Dora (?), Claudia, Zsuzsa, Feri, Gergő, and Péter.

My students drew this on our chalkboard on my birthday (the strange one-eared smily face is a reference to a drawing dictation vocab game we played).

This is my wonderful host family in Erdőketes, a village nearby Váchartyán.  Clockwise from the bottom: Csilla, Rozi, Bógi, Ernő, Fabian, and Lili.

This is the kind of game you play when it’s unbearably hot and air-conditioning only exists in shopping malls.  The rules essentially came down to: close your eyes and throw water at people.

About Cassidhe Hart

My favorite times of the year: when the weather is first cold enough to put socks on and when the weather is first warm enough to take my socks off.
