Visual Retrospective – Winter edition

Here are some pictures from this past semester that, for one reason or another, did not make it to the blog until now.

Marielle took this picture of me and Nasstasja during our first dinner all together.  This is Marielle and Nasstasja’s flat on the other side of Beregszasz, about a 15 minute walk from Kriszpont.  We made squash soup, in case you’re wondering.

These two pictures are from Nasstasja’s birthday party (note the cake with one big candle), the one with 3 Germans, 2 Hungarian-Ukrainians, 1 Luxembourgean, and 1 American.

Here are Cinti and Szebi, two of the children I tutor.

On my way to Budapest to fly back to the US, I made a stop at David and Anna’s house, where Anna taught me and her Canadian niece the fine Hungarian art of cooking stuffed cabbage.

In other news, my suitcase is still making it’s way back and forth between Péterfalva and Beregszasz; I even joined it for one of it’s journeys today as I rode to Beregszasz.  The bus driver greeted me kindly but sheepishly.  I think he knows his honor is resting on whether or not he can liberate my suitcase by Saturday.

About Cassidhe Hart

My favorite times of the year: when the weather is first cold enough to put socks on and when the weather is first warm enough to take my socks off.
